-Must be a Santa Cruz County resident
-Must meet income guidelines.

-Copy of most recent PG&E bill (all pages)
-copy of income documents for the last 30 days
-US government-issued photo ID
CARE Eligibility Guidelines (eligibility in CARE is determined by the last 12 months of income). No documents required for CARE.

Assists eligible households pay one of their utility bill (electric, gas or propane) once a year. Helps households whose utility has already been disconnected, past due or are current on their bill. Amount of assistance is based on: Number of persons in the household, total gross household income, cost of energy within the county the households resides, and subject to funding availability.
