Safe Parking Program

Provides comprehensive services to victims and witnesses of crime. Offers court escort, crime prevention information, and crisis intervention. Assists with restraining orders, restitution, and notification of family and friends.

Family Based Counseling, Support, Case Management Services - Encompass Families Together
Provides home-visiting counseling, parenting education, and case management to assist families with developing individualized service plans. Delivers support regarding child development, parent-child attachment, and general wellness. Connects participants to community resources, including substance use counseling, interpersonal violence services, and early education support.
Community Pantry
Provides grocery bags with meat, eggs, dairy, produce, and canned items. PSPS note: non-perishable grocery items only during a Public Safety Power Shutoff.

Provides supplemental nutrition programs for income eligible households with qualifying women and children. Offers nutrition education and breastfeeding support for women and children. Issues Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards for milk, eggs, bread, produce, and juice. EBT cards accepted at participating retailers including grocery stores and farmers markets.

Clients receive vouchers for food and nutrition education to help achieve and maintain good health. Provides one-on-one nutritional counseling, and group education on such topics as:
breastfeeding
lead poisoning
childhood obesity

Provides emergency shelters to youth ages 12–17 experiencing homelessness.

Half Moon Bay Library Services
Provides library cards, public computer, and wireless internet access. Offers resource collection of books, audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, CDs, and DVDs.
Transition Age Youth
Serves current and former foster youth age 15-24 in making a healthy transition to adulthood. Programs include counseling, skill-building, a drop-in center and subsidized supportive housing.
TAY programs include:
- The Independent Living Program (ILP) serves current and former foster and probation placement youth age 15-21. Assists youth to develop independent living skills to successfully transition to self-sufficiency and includes services such as one-on-one counseling, assistance in obtaining ID cards, driving permits and licenses and workshops on topics that assist youth in achieving personal, education and vocational goals.
- The Transitional Housing Program is a supportive housing program for former non-minor dependents and foster youth between the ages 18-24. Supports with financial assistance, educational expenses, emotional support, life skills coaching, and referral to community resources to help them achieve the financial stability.
