Pacific Islander Multi-Service Center (PIMSC)

Provides linguistically and culturally competent programs for individuals and families to become self-sufficient. Assists with document completion/form filing assistance. Examples include:
  • Applications for public and affordable housing
  • Immigration forms
  • Birth certificates
  • Court documents, including juvenile cases
Provides with a variety of job assistance services. Services include:
  • Job application form completion
  • Resume building
  • Job interviewing skills preparation
  • Pre-employment assessment and placement
Offers after-school homework assistance to youth. Provides academic counseling and support services at school sites. Offers parenting skills classes. Also offers case management with referrals to mental health services when necessary. Provides a senior activity center. Services include social and recreational activities, field trips, senior dining, and health information. More information:    General services are available during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) and disasters.    These services are still available if a power outage occurs in this facility.

Provides educational benefits such as the VAEP and the New GI Bill for the Active Duty Educational Assistance Program, the Selected Reserve Educational Assistance Program, the Survivor's and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program and Vocational Rehabilitation. Assists with eligibility and procedures to initiate claims for these benefits.
