  • Creating a personal or family emergency plan

Battery program: Provides backup battery for customers rely on electricity operated medical devices. Requires eligible adult recipients to participate in welfare to work employment services. Offers work preparedness, job development training, and support to address barriers to employment. CalWORKs recipients are automatically eligible to Medi-Cal and may qualify for CalFresh. CalWORKs is the state version of Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF).
