CalFresh

Provides financial assistance for eligible residents to purchase healthy and nutritious foods. Offers three day expedited service for some special emergency situations. Issues Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards with a monthly credit to purchase groceries. EBT cards accepted at participating retailers including grocery stores and farmers markets. CalFresh is the state version of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). EBT Online Purchases CalFresh EBT has extended service for online use at approved retailers. Recipients can purchase eligible groceries at participating stores for delivery and pickup. Restaurant Meals Program CalFresh EBT cards accepted at various locations participating in the Restaurant Meals Program. CalFresh eligible recipients are able to buy prepared meals at participating restaurant vendors. CalFresh recipients experiencing homelessness, with a disability, or age 60 and older eligible.
