The Foster/Adopt program works with resource families (foster families) caring for foster children. These families are given priority if those children later become eligible for adoption.

Child Welfare provides a monthly stipend for food, shelter, clothing and recreation for each child, medical and dental coverage for each child through the Medi-Cal program, initial and on-going training to develop their knowledge and skills so they can provide the best possible care to meet the unique needs of each foster child and support and supervision from agency staff.
